Having had two successful shows in the previous years, expectations were high about the turnout for 2014. Those expectations were realised when thousands of people who have a passion for homes both for the interior and the exterior headed to the AECC over the three day exhibition. (Friday 26 – Sunday 28 September 2014) The Scottish Home Show would give local businesses the opportunity to exhibit the latest trends, technology and tips in property.
The Property Management Company decided that this would be an excellent opportunity to meet with local companies, interact with the public, meet current and potential customers and highlight the new lettings division.
Many exhibitors at The Scottish Home Show had goody bags, gifts and giveaways for the thousands of people who attend. The Property Management Company decided to take an eco friendly approach to their goody bags. The bags that were used where made from 100% cotton and therefore completely reusable. This helped PMC reduce the amount of plastic bags in circulation but also with the implementation of bag charges at supermarkets, PMC may have helped a few at the show save some money.
The highlight of the show for all was the celebrity guest reappearances which included, Lorraine Kelly, Tommy Walsh and Linda Barker. Lorraine Kelly opened the show with style and cooked up some interest during a food demonstration with Chef, Kev Shand. Throughout the weekend Tommy Walsh who is best known from Ground Force and Linda Barker who is best known from Changing Rooms gave presentations on home improvements. Both of them also took the time to talk to exhibitors about what they were showcasing and the progress that they were making. The big names didn’t stop there. The Scottish Home Show had many well-known and big brand exhibitors including Bancon Contruction, Baxters Food Group, Claymore Homes, Brewmeister, Porcelanosa and AGA.
The Property Management Company like everyone else at the Scottish Home Show 2014 found it an exciting and enjoyable experience. There was a wonderful atmosphere throughout the three days and the team at Xcite Media were very helpful. This was particularly appreciated since it was PMC’s first time at the Show and having their help went a long way.
The Property Management Company would recommend the Scottish Home Show to anyone thinking of either exhibiting or attending. Whatever sector your in whether it’s construction, interior design or lettings you will definitely enjoy the Home Show. The chance to speak to other companies and customers is fantastic and in many cases has put a face to the name for many. We enjoyed the Home Show and we look forward to seeing you again at The Scottish Home Show in 2015
